Richard R. Byers, 88, of Pawtucket, passed away on January 26, 2023 at Miriam Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan (Proctor) Byers. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Everett and Martha (Seaton) Byers.
He is survived by a daughter, Debra Ann Wall and husband Kevin; three step-grandchildren, Brendan, Patrick, and Daniel Wall; two great-step-grandchildren, Camille and Donovan. He was the father of the late Scott Byers; brother of the late Ruth Powers and Grace McCabe.
Richard served his country in the US Army. He was the proprietor of Dicks Sport and Hobby for over 50 years before retiring. He also enjoyed trips to Maine and flea markets.
His funeral will begin at 9:30am on Friday, February 3rd from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Johnston. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 – 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited. Visit www.thekeefefuneralhome.com
